Masters of camouflage the wobbegong is also known as a carpet shark for their patterning across their bodies as well as their propensity for laying on the ocean floor. I wanted to capture this delicate pattern and highlight the striking semi symmetrical nature and draw the eye in closer to investigate. Using only a dark indigo blue allows the patterning to become the focus.
The patterning itself draws the viewer into this piece. It enables ocean lovers to look closely at this unique species and discover something new with every view.
