Swimming through a blazing blue ocean these dolphins are streaked in the colours of summertime. Dolphins are social and friendly and I’ve been so lucky to have one swim up to me whilst scuba diving. I loved capturing their curious eyes and their sleek bodies in this small piece. The background of pure blue reminds me of hot sun spilling through the ocean surface and lighting everything it touches.
Small touches of golden tones and lilac streaks have been used pieces to create a bounce to the colour and vibrancy. Plywood timber panel has been left raw in a self border to give a glimpse into the substrate and it creates an organic feel to the piece. It creates a nice undertone to the vivacious blue of the sea.
Painted using artist quality acrylic paint on timber panel. Comes ready to hang.
